WESLEY C. DICKEN, JR 8/27/1929 – 11/9/2010 It is with great sadness that Trenwa shares the passing of Wes Dicken, its Chairman, on November 9, 2010. A University of Kentucky graduate and Korean War veteran, Wes was a retired Captain in the United States Navy. Early in his career Wes worked for Hilltop Concrete in Cincinnati, rising to Vice-President, Operations.
After joining Trenwa in 1976, Wes was instrumental in setting up the company’s three manufacturing plants in Kentucky, Florida and Colorado. He became President of Trenwa in 1986, a role he served until his retirement in 1995. Very active in civic and business circles, Wes served on the Board of Directors of Provident Bank (Northern Kentucky) and St Luke Hospital for many years. In 1998 Wes served as Chairman of the National Precast Concrete Association. He was also president of Ft. Thomas Lions Club. Besides his many business and civic activities, Wes was known for his friendly, outgoing personality, high values and care for others. All of us at Trenwa mourn the loss of our close associate and dear friend. We will miss him greatly.
